According to the online payment service CloudPayments, in October the average receipt for grocery and essential goods purchased online in Russia decreased and was estimated at 2.1 thousand rubles (Euro 23). This is 45% less than in April, during the first peak of the coronavirus pandemic, when people were forced to self-isolate. The frequency of online purchases also dropped, as customers are not scared to go shopping in a regular store any more. The other reason is that real incomes of Russian people have decreased, which forces customers to save on food, ready-made food, clothes and electronic devices.

On the opposite, according to the analysts of Yandex.Market pet products demand and average receipt continue to grow: the number of orders in this category increased by 13%, and the average receipt grew by to 15%.
