FMCG products prices grew by 14% in 2020

According to ROMIR research holding, prices for FMCG products in October 2020 were 14% higher than in October 2019, and 18% higher than prices in January 2019. Compared to September 2020 prices in October have not changed and to August 2020 they decreased by 1%.

FMCG category includes packaged pet food and accessories.

Inna Karayeva, executive director of the management holding of ROMIR, explained the pet product prices growth due to rouble depreciation, since many products on the market are imported, and even more categories of pet industry are characterized by purchases of imported raw materials.
