Four Paws retailer motivates customers to refuse a paper receipt

Users of the Four Paws mobile app can now set up an automatic option of refusal to print a receipt for purchases made in brick-and-mortar stores. The new service will also be available when paying at the cashier in all offline stores.

According to the company, this initiative will increase the rational use of resources: forest cutting and the amount of garbage produced.

Viktor Zakharov, executive director of Four Paws chain, said that 150 million trees are cut down annually for the production of paper checks. At the same time, receipts are not accepted for processing due to the low cellulose content, and while being disposed they emit harmful substances. Switching to electronic receipts will help the environment.
