Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed restrictions on the supply to the Russian Federation of pet food manufactured at two enterprises: Champions Pet Foods Lp (Canada) and C. J. Foods Inc. Plant 10 (USA).
The restrictions come into force on June 29, 2020 and are caused by “detection of undeclared and unregistered GMO components in products and/or not corresponding to their quantitative content”.
If the products of these enterprises (TM Acana, TM Orijen and TM PureLuxe) are shipped to the Russian Federation before the date of restrictions, the procedure of their crossing the border will be a usual one, followed by mandatory laboratory testing for the presence of undeclared GMO components.
