On December 8, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to simplify the import procedure of controlled goods into the territory of the Republic of Belarus by reducing the list of veterinary measures for certain categories. The Common Sanitary Epidemiological and Hygienic Requirements for the Goods Subject to Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision were revised accordingly.
The import procedure is simplified for 17 categories of products, including food supplements, processed animal products, pet food, pharmaceutical veterinary medicines and some others.
It is expected that these measures will facilitate trade procedures with third countries, unify the procedure for applying veterinary measures by competent authorities of the Customs Union states, and update the Common Sanitary Epidemiological and Hygienic Requirements.
