Pet food supplies to Russia resumed for more manufacturers

The Rosselkhoznadzor introduced new names to the list of foreign enterprises that are allowed to import animal food and supplements to Russia for three months. A number of German, Dutch and Spanish manufacturers of feed additives, as well as functional food and diets, have been temporarily withdrawn from the list of banned suppliers. The range of brands resumed for export to Russia expanded. See the full list of resumed products here.

Those controlled goods will be subjected to enhanced laboratory monitoring as they arrive to Russia.

Earlier the Rosselkhoznadzor resumed supplies of a number of trademarks from several suppliers for three months. As of today, the certification of products supplied by 56 companies has been resumed: 32 manufacturers from Germany, 18 manufacturers from the Netherlands, four from Spain and two suppliers from Canada.

The regulator highlighted that within those three months regulators of the abovementioned countries are requested to prepare and provide all necessary papers to confirm pet food compliance with the requirements of the Russian Federation and the EAEU, including the traceability of raw materials and products of plant and animal origin.
