Royal Canin Russia starts exporting products to Europe

For the first time since its opening in 2004, Royal Canin dry food factory in Russia, located in the Dmitrov district of the Moscow suburb, began exporting its products to the European Union.

This summer, the first batches of food were shipped to Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Currently the planned volume of export is 22 tons per year, which satisfies daily nutritional requirements for more than a thousand cats.

Food for Siberian Adult cats is one of the exported products. It was created at the Royal Canin research center in France. In 2016, it became part of the company’s product portfolio and went for sale in Russia. At the moment, Siberian Adult is the only specialized diet on the market that takes into account breed features of Siberian cats.

According to statistics, this breed is the third most popular in Russia and Finland, while in Sweden the Siberian is on the second place.

The Russian Royal Canin factory is one of the company’s 16 production facilities. It produces 574 types of products: everyday dry food and veterinary diets. Over the past five years, the factory has been certified for export to the countries of the Customs Union, European Union, China, Turkey and India.
